Perler Bead Key Chains and Other Creations
Where: Turlock Library

         3:30 p.m.

Create perler bead key chains in vibrant colors and different shapes and designs by heating and melting different arrangements of beads. Use your own artistic ideas and imagination. Books will be on display and available for checkout.

 

Felt Bookmark Craft
Where: Denair Library

         4:00 p.m.

Never lose your place again! Stop by and make a felt book mark. Books will on display and available for checkout.

 

Lego Play
Where: Modesto Library
When: Wednesday, November 19
         3:30 p.m.
Ages: 4 - 18

Children ages 4-18 will have the opportunity to build LEGO displays for the library. LEGO play helps children develop fine motor skills. Children under 4 are welcome, but must have direct adult supervision.

 

Teen Button Maker Craft
Where: Oakdale Library

Teens can bring or create their favorite art to make unique pins. Books will be displayed and available for checkout.

 

Votive Holder Craft

Get ready for the Holidays. Decorate a votive holder that will get you in the mood for winter. Books will be on display and available for checkout.

 

Teen Duct Art
Where: Newman Library

         6:00 p.m.

Use colorful duct tape to make wallets, roses, book covers and any other art project you can imagine. Books will be displayed and available for checkout.

 

Snowball Guessing Jar - Oakdale
Where: Oakdale Library
When: Monday, December 1 - Saturday, December 13
Open hours

Guess the number of fluffy white snowballs in the jar and win a prize. Fun for all ages. There will be three categories: up to 12 yrs of age, 13-18, and adult. The winners will be announced on December 16. Books will be available to browse and to checkout.

We’ve got the supplies and you’ve got the talent. Choose from a variety of craft materials to create your next masterpiece. You can even make holiday gifts for friends and family. Program designed for all ages – kids, families, teens and adults.

Join us for games and crafts at the library. All ages are welcome. Games promote sharing, working together, and problem solving skills.

 

Snowflake Drop-in Craft
Where: Denair Library

         1:00-4:00 p.m.

Decorate your home with snowflake just in time for the holidays.Stop by anytime between 1-4 and make a quick and easy home decorating project. Books will be on display and available for checkout.

 

Holiday Ornament Craft
Where: Waterford Library
When: Thursday, December 11
          3:00 p.m.

Teens and adults can make an ornament from a variety of craft materials. Books will be displayed and available for checkout.

 

Button Maker Craft
Where: Turlock Library

Tuesday, December 16
        4:00 p.m.

Have fun designing and pressing your own large and small button pins. Sports themes, super heroes, book themes, "selfies," or other photos you provide can be made into pins that look great on backpacks, key chains, or anywhere you like. Books will be displayed and available for checkout.

 

Melted Snowman Craft
Where: Hughson Library

Teens are invited to make their own melted snowman. Books will be displayed and available for checkout.

 

Snowman Craft
Where: Patterson Library
When: Wednesday, December 17
        3:30 p.m.

Make your own snowman to keep you company in the winter months
. Books will be available to browse and to checkout.

 

Felt Owl Ornament Craft
Where: Riverbank Library
When: Wednesday, December 17
          4:00 p.m.

Adults and teens are invited to the Riverbank Library to make colorful felt owl ornaments. These cute little owls are hand sewn. Adults and teens will learn to hand stitch to create a unique and colorful owl ornament.  Books on sewing and crafts will be displayed. All supplies are provided by the Friends of the Riverbank Library.

 

Ornament Staining Craft
Where: Keyes Library
When: Thursday, December 18
        3:00 p.m.

Tweens, teens, and adults can make stained glass ornaments. Glass ornaments will be provided, however, supplies are limited. Books will be displayed and available for checkout.

 

Free Knitting and Crocheting Classes
Where: Waterford Library
When:  Wednesdays 
          3:00 p.m.

Knitting and crochet samples

Knitting and crocheting are a blast. Whether you are a beginner or need help with a special project this fun group is here for you. Please call ahead to confirm class, 874-2191.
