Read to a Dog
Thursday afternoons: September 9 - October 28
3:30-5:30 p.m.

This free program, for independent readers up to age 12, gives children a relaxed, non-judgemental atmosphere in which to practice reading aloud. Children may preregister for a 15 minute session with a certified therapy dog beginning August 24. Sessions will be held in the Children’s Department at the Modesto Library. Dinner Theater with Carnival of Chaos

Come see the dynamic duo of chaotic comedy! Mark & Dre perform sketch comedy, musical parody, awesome juggling, kooky dance, dazzling acrobatic stunts & more! Dinner theater is a special family program for children ages 6 & up.
You provide your dinner & we provide the theater!  Dinner theater programs enhance imaginations and teach live audience skills. Space is limited; advance sign-ups required — call 558-7810 or come in! Advance sign-ups start September 15.

Fruit and Vegetable Prints Craft

The children will be introduced to printmaking by making prints with a variety of fruits and vegetables. Children will be encouraged to explore their creativity with color and composition. Examples of different forms of printmaking will be presented. There will be books on printmaking displayed.
