Makerspace: Superhero Edition

Make a superhero mask and play with props from our superhero/villain costume box. Books will be displayed and available for checkout.

Read to a Dog

6:00-7:00 p.m.

Independent readers ages 4-12 can sign up to read to a dog. Enjoy reading to a trained support dog and receive warm tail-wagging approval and appreciation as you do. Registration is required. Please call the Ceres Library at 537-8938 for more information or to sign-up.

Decorate Your Own Pumpkin Craft

Through the month of October, the Riverbank Library will display a big jar of candy.  Customers young and old are invited to guess the amount of candy in the jar. The winner will be the closest guess without going over. The prize for the winner will be the whole jar of candy, including the jar.

The Boy Who Cried Wolf Puppet Show

The Boy Who Cried Wolf, performed by Puppet Art Theater, is an updated zany version of a classic tale. Come expecting a fun and entertaining story with interactive puppets and audience participation. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Riverbank Library.

Turkey Napkin Holder Craft

Family Dinner and Movie Night

Children and their families can enjoy a family-friendly movie and picnic dinner at the Library. This month's movie is the the superhero movie, Batman Mask of the Phantasm. This program is a part of the Salida Library's Tuesdays Are Family Days series. Children can come in their pajamas. Bring a picnic dinner and a blanket to sit on. The library will provide a beverage and popcorn. Books will be displayed and available for checkout.

Enjoy reading to a trained support dog and receive warm tail-wagging approval and appreciation as you do. Child may read a book of their choice or books will be provided.
