Passport Information
The Modesto Library is now offering Passport Acceptance services on a first-come, first-served basis! The Modesto Library Reference Desk can help answer your passport questions and accept your passport application during the hours below. If you have questions about our services please call the Reference Desk at 558-7814. |
Hours
- Monday: 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.
- Tuesday: 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.
- Wednesday: 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.
- Thursday: 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.*
- Saturday: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.*
* Passport applications received on Thursdays and Saturdays will not reach the U.S. Post Office until the following Monday.
All hours are walk-in and reservations are not available. The Library has the right to close Passport Acceptance once maximum processing capacity for business hours has been reached. |
What to Bring
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship
- Previous Passport
- Certified Birth Certificate with a Registrar’s Seal
- Naturalization Certificate
- Citizenship Certificate
- One Photograph
- Please remember to bring your passport photograph
- Taken within the past six months
- 2x2 inches
- Front view, full face on white or off-white background
- In color
- Proof of Identity
- Previous Passport
- Certificate of Naturalization or Citizenship
- A valid Driver’s License or DMV identification card with a photocopy of the front and back
- An official military identification card with a photocopy of the front and back
